PROFILTER UV protection component:
The knit of the TRIBORD UV TOP blocks at least 98% of UVB radiation and 95% of UVA (UPF 50+). This guarantees effective protection from the sun.
It can be used both in and out of the water, for water or nautical sports.
There is ceramic built into the fabric to reflect UV rays.
This product has a “regular” loose fit, for stylish sun protection.
The shape and component used ensure that the T-shirt stays in place when the fabric is wet.
This UV protection T-shirt has a loose cut to make it easy to put on and comfortable during use.
Fit and protection from chafing:
Protects against rubbing and chafing due to contact with the bodyboard. The loop on the bottom of the T-shirt means that you can attach the drawstring of the swim shorts to stop it riding up while you are doing water sports.
Quick-drying polyester component
The polyester component dries faster than polyamide (component normally used in swimsuits).
We conducted a study with a panel of testers to compare the effectiveness of this polyester component compared with cotton.
Beyond any doubt, the polyester component present in the water T-shirt is more efficient both in and out of the water. Its good fit and powerful drying properties are designed to be used in the practice of water sports.
The product’s knit reduces the hold of sand in the textile.
Water repellent treatment
Water repellent fabric for quicker drying.
What does UPF 50+ mean?
UPF is a sun protection factor (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) and is standardised worldwide. It defines the protection level of a fabric and more precisely the proportion of UV rays it lets through.
To meet the standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays.
. UPF 40 means that the fabric blocks 95% of UVB and 97% of UVA rays.
. UPF 50+ means that the fabric blocks at least 95% of UVB and 98% of UVA rays. This provides the most effective protection.
INFORMATION / CONCEPT / TECHNOLOGY
COMPOSITION: 100% polyester
All of our sun protection components are laboratory tested by our engineers. They meet the current standard: EN 13758. We conduct tests on all of the materials used before starting production. We also have our own measuring equipment in our laboratories to supplement the tests conducted in external laboratories. The products are laboratory tested when wet and dry as well as in use whilst worn (with the stretch that occurs during use).
Designed and tested by our teams in Hendaye, France. The Tribord global design centre is located on the banks of the Bidassoa in Hendaye. This allows us to design products in contact with users and in the marine environment.
